I heard that some musicians have stopped selling $10 CDs at their concerts
because it competes with the sales of $20 T-shirts.

Now think about this for a moment. A CD is a high tech high
quality musical recording that was likely made in a very expensive
recording studio over many weeks and outtakes. This doesn't even
count the man-years of agony it took to create the soulful music in the
first place.

Yet, people would still rather pay $20 for a made in China 20 cent T-shirt
just because it has the name of the band silk-screened on it!!!

Has our society so devalued music (and software)? :)

I remember in the 80s when CDs first came out and they were seen as amazing
futuristic things. Now you can barely give them away! My how times have
changed.
