If you were not aware of the situation, NCAS is starting a weekly
Linux class to be held on Saturday. The plan is to have the
InstallFests same as always while the class is going on. The
instructor, Juan Garcia asked if any of the KPLUGers would be willing
to do one or two basic Linux presentatons to the class on the days we
held the Installfest. If you would like to participate or if there is
specific information you'd like me to ask about(curriculum, course
materials, whatever) let me know that too.

The September 15th InstallFest is on for the usual time.
Can you get a little more info on the format?
It is at the top of my list, because we didn't have time when I first
talked to Juan to hash the details out. I'll also find out what distro
he willbe focusing on, if any. I think he's a SUSE guy, but I'm not
sure.
Will JG be teaching, and expect some guest-lecturers to add N-minute
contributed "stand-ups". Or is he expecting somebody to substitute for
him on that Saturday? Is there a planned topic for that date, which
helpers can augment? Or maybe he is planning a Q&A on selected topics?
Or is it more like "what are you students interested in hearing about
today"?
My understanding is that JG will be teaching and expect guest
lecturers to do N-minute additions, but is probably amenable to
planned topics and topic augmentation too.

Just now reading this.

Please put me down as available in so far as my skill set fits. I can do
basic CLI, RedHat/SysV-ish boot sequence and troubleshooting, basic vi,
and of course, introduction to scripting (tcl/tk). Oh, and I could also do
basic home network stuff.

Not to mention nearly guru level MythTV. (Solving your own problems.) :)
