My area (4S Ranch) is one of those.   We've had the choice since day one.
It's nice having competition for a given service type. :-)  I'm with Cox
right now since that's given me the best mix of services for the price
(cable, phone, and internet).  But, I periodically check with T-W as well as
other offerings to see if I can do better.
