libqt-gl is as best I understand a library that
allows a qt opengl API. See
http://doc.trolltech.com/4.0/qtopengl.html

I am trying to bring up a CAD system Fandango
that relies on libqt-gl. I need some kind of
CAD system for boat designs that I want to do.

I am also exploring BRL-CAD, which has a
good Tcl/Tk interface. I will probably wind
up using BRL-CAD. But I really want a Python
interface. Or maybe Ruby.

But the good thing is that you have turned
me on to http://www.filewatcher.com which I
was ignorant of. Thanks Jim!

"Of which I was previously ignorant?" I do not
mind dangling a preposition, but it is something
that I am aware of ;)

This thread is a good example of Stewart's
"Ask Algorithm". I shall start calling this
the "SSAA", for Stewart Stremler Ask Algorithm.

I am convinced that for quite a while we will need
humans to help us answer the deeper questions. Let's
face it. Humans are good cheap pattern recognizers.
Most do not all have to buy $1 Million houses in
La Jolla in order to have a good life. We have
6 Billion of them looking for jobs. We shall find
the SSAA is a good thing

I am working with Brad Collins (the metadata guy,
from Thailand) ) on just such a project right now.
The project involves buildingmeta data for images.
If you think Google is bad at text, then just try
to find an image.

Look out for youtag.it, a Web 2.0 startup.

We need to build better systems for asking.

Onward,

BobLQ
