I am looking for a Linux sysadmin to help me out at Interactivate. The
company markets itself as an ad agency but most of the work done is
websites with just a little actual print. We have 125 employees and are
located at 707 Broadway downtown with branch offices in Irvine and
Boulder, CO. Fun people, nice office, lots of perks.
We have a corporate network for our internal use for filesharing, email,
etc. and we have a web hosting environment for Linux and Windows. We
have a Windows admin on staff and now I need to find a Linux admin.
We are rolling out RHEL/CentOS and there is a lot of infrastructure work
to be done. We hope to be doing virtualization with something like Xen
in the near future.
The applicant should know at least one programming language such as
Python or Perl.
Should be familiar with MySQL, familiarity with MySQL clustering a big plus.
Familiarity with cfengine, kickstart, svn (or any revision control
system) are all pluses. I am trying to adhere to the philosophy
presented at infrastructures.org so be on board with that.
Above all the applicant must be passionate about learning, Linux, and
computing in general. I have a vision for this place and I am looking
for an enthusiastic right-hand person to help me implement it.
