Most folks these days use SCM and CM interchangeably to mean 'Software
Configuration Management' which is meant to encompasses pretty much all
functions even remotely related to Configuration Management.
I only hear old school guys using any acronyms for Source Control,
Revision Control, et al. In fact, I'm hard pressed to think of any SCM
related acronyms (aside from SCM itself) that are in wide use in the SCM
circles I frequent. The only other acronyms I find are in wide use
relate to specific products (svn, p4, cvs, RUP, etc.)
