/usr/share/doc/kernel-doc-2.6.23/Documentation (on my machine) has a file kernel-parameters.txt in that dir; it indicates that biosirq applies only for X86_32 I don't know about the other boot parms you mentioned having set. > > So is it time to abandon this approach and look at ndiswrapper? Some have reported BCM working ok. I can't say that I've ever gotten to the point of declaring success, although Eric's machine looked like it was working -- for a while. Then the ping times got worse; sounds suspiciously like a bug.
