I'm one of those reports. I have a Broadcom card in my G4 Powerbook, and I got it working--with WPA encryption to boot. This was in Ubuntu 7.04 at the time (PPC version, of course), and I didn't use the Restricted Driver Manager at all. However, if Jim is talking about the machine I think he is, I helped work on it at an installfest and the steps that had worked on my hardware didn't help in that particular instance... this stuff is obviously too finicky for a single solution to work in all cases. -- Brad Beyenhof http://augmentedfourth.com Silence will save me from being wrong (and foolish), but it will also deprive me of the possibility of being right. ~ Igor Stravinsky -- [email protected] http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-list
