My HP 1210 is OK, but the ink is expensive and it won't print on card

I'm looking for a cheap color printer that will print on card stock.
Some of the Epsons look suitable.

How much coverage will your printing have? After a couple of inkjets, I
ended up getting a color laser printer. It is mostly an advantage to me
because the ink doesn't dry out. I don't use it all that frequently, but
there are occasional times where I will print hundreds of something.

Also, some of the cheaper-ink printers have problems with the inks fading.
Again, depends on what you're printing.
