I Googled and found this:
"Mail Notification. You can be notified of new
messages by a sound, pop up window, or neither.
With Thunderbird 2.0 the pop up window now
includes the sender, subject, and a brief
excerpt of each new message.To change how you
are notified go to Tools > Options > General."

However my Thunderbird running under F8 does not
have a Tools > Options > General...
I have only Tools >
Is there some explaination for this? Is this a
feature/option only available in the Windows
version?
