However my Thunderbird running under F8 does not have a Tools > Options
General...
I have only Tools >
Is there some explaination for this? Is this a feature/option only
available in the Windows version?
Menus (and preferences, too I guess) differ by platform.
Have you looked at
edit > preferences > general > (show an alert .. customize)
