Well that's the goal later... When after 5-6 years of not having my
own place I finally get a place where I can plop down a server that
has hardware virtualization and 8GB of RAM... And maybe before that
and maybe just after that get one of these Kewl EeePC type machines so
when you are just moving around to a meeting or you need something for
diagnostics or some such task...

BUT right now one of the 3 items I need is a laptop that can do a
little bit of the server side and a little bit of the low end side.
I'm thinking that between the three types of devices I can sandbox all
the things I want to try out. Maybe I didn't mention but my 6 year old
laptop I am on right now has lost the ability to light up the LCD and
I am using an external monitor right now. In addition I am running
Knoppix because the FC8 on the laptop with the non-lighting monitor
won't output to the external monitor like Knoppix will.

So at this point I want to be as cost effective as possible with the
virtualization proviso, AND take a step forward from this unit that
has a Pentium 4 Mobile CPU w/ 768MB of RAM.

Like I mentioned the 3rd unit is less than the other two but it is
also >=$200 dollars less than the other two.

I think I have a handle on this but any thoughts are appreciated.

TIA,
RBW
