I always felt that the M$ install was malicious after a Win 95 (IIRC)
wiped out my Linux partition and created a single M$ share w/o asking
permission. Afterward I found if I marked the Linux partition as type 0
before the install, it was left alone, and I could mark it back.

All that's probably changed but I haven't installed M$ in a long time.
