FWIW, I too got nailed for top-posting but we all seem to have our own way of doing things. Personally, I tend to follow loosely three rules: 1) top-post when I have one comment on the general subject of the email 2) interleave-post when there are specific items which require commenting on 3) bottom-posting, well that just happens when I felt the recipient needed refreshing his/her memory of what the topic was about. ie, I waited too long to reply or someone else was added to the recipient list. but really, it's not that big of a deal to calm down those who just must have it one way or another. No need to be the "unreasonable man" all the time(see sig.). Doug The reasonable man adapts himself to the world The unreasonable man tries to adapt the world to himself Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man. -George Bernard Shaw -- [email protected] http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-list
