I gotta go do some work, but the conversation eventually did cover TV quality and how 1080p over Fiber is better than 1080p over Copper and how 720p is also better over Fiber, especially if you don't have a HD TV.
My conversations are usually much shorter. Them: ... standard pitch ... Me: I don't have a TV. Them: Oh, ... um, ..., uh, ... They don't seem to be expecting that one. At least the person who came to my door was with a slightly knowledgeable "supervisor" who was able to tell me that they just don't offer any static IP service. So, about the best they have to offer me is TV service for the TV I don't have, and dynamic IP addresses for me to try and serve my domain with. Gee what a deal. But at least my current service uses energy. You should tell him that you think that leptons are better than bosons. At least leptons have mass.
