Absolutely.
NeoOffice takes a bit to pull itself to the latest version of
OpenOffice. NeoOffice did a *lot* of replumbing of GUI, fonts, and
printing. That's a lot of custom code. However, if OpenOffice now
doesn't require root, NeoOffice should get there shortly.
