The fact that Microsoft loses money at everything outside of desktop Windows isn't even mentioned. Just that this will somehow create something to be pitted against Google. IMO, it is a get rich quick scheme for those involved( Icahn and his Board ) since they only plan on dumping the company in Microsofts lap and have it gutted. This is probably Balmers revenge for getting stiff-armed by Yahoo and it will probably knock Yahoo half out of the ring and current Yahoo advertisers will probably go to Google and result in more losses at msn.com.
