Last night I discovered that CDDB had morphed into Gracenote, evidently a

cdstatus --cddb before.)

They were turned into a "money making site" coz they had to start paying copyright fees. But don't feel too bad for them now, they currently have a deal with Chrysler to provide a Gracenote DB to vehicles with the uConnect stereo head-unit so it can rip CD's right to HD inside the vehicle.

I have a copy of the cddb database and code from the site (PHP, I think) as of when they turned it off. My idea was to put it on my own Apache server and have it all work as it used to, but never got around to doing it.

If anyone wants it I could dig it up.
