Just had an interesting experience trying to run k3b on my amd64 laptop. Starting it from the GUI, it just does nothing. Starting from a command line, it tells me that it needs libqt-mt.so.3. I can't locate that anywhere on the system.
Some web search shows that libqt-mt.so.3 comes in package qt3-3.3.8b-12.fc9.x86_64.rpm. So I download that package. rpm -qlp shows libqt-mt as part of the package. rpm -Uvh tells me that it is already installed. rpm -e --nodeps followed by rpm -Uvh re-installs it complete with the missing libraries. k3b now works. So why in the original installation k3b (using yumex) did the some but not all of qt3-3.3.8b-12 get installed? carl -- carl lowenstein marine physical lab u.c. san diego [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- KPLUG-List@kernel-panic.org http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-list
