Hey everyone, as I posted previously, I am helping a friend set up his
new clinic. They have two compaq proliant servers that were donated to
them, but no hard drives. Does anyone have any SCSI hard drives they
would be willing to donate? Any size would be welcome, but as always,
bigger is better.

I know people usually have stuff laying around so I figured I'd ask
before sending my friend out to buy new hardware.

Thanks in advance.

What kind of interface do they need?

Just to expound on this a bit. SCSI comes in narrow and wide, in
various speed ranges. And single-ended or differential or low-voltage
differential. Many of these are compatible with each other at some
level.

SCSI disks also come with 50-pin, 68-pin, and 80-pin connectors. It's
harder to do cross-compatiblity when the cable doesn't even fit.

I could probably find in my back room a few samples of almost every
combination except differential. So what does this server really
need?

Do you have a model number on those Compaq Proliant servers? I can look up the specs and I am pretty sure I have a few of whatever it takes around.
