I remember Doug (I think) pointing out that there's no substitute for
close miking. Otherwise you get horrible room noise. It seems to me he
mentioned lapel -- maybe even some kind of contact ("throat"?) mic?
googling on
lapel microphone wireless
shows packages starting at $70 -- some with 2 mics/transmitters. I
presume you just plug the receiver into the line-input channel. I
suppose you might want someone "riding gain". It's never simple, eh?
Alternatively a pa-setup comes to mind, but that is not too great for
presentation use.
