Hm. I've been using the Sun Java on Linux since the 1.1 days, and I've
never had a problem with it.  I think I eventually managed to get jikes
installed. Once. Wasn't worth the effort, really.

YMMV, I suppose.

/me makes a note to try an IBM JDK once of these days.
