I'll even give you a hint: The failure seems to revolve around -all_load and whole_archive_flag_spec.

In addition, this is probably a multiple failure bug. Something inside KDE decided to link statically combined with the fact that KDE decided to violate the OS X linking conventions which demand two level namespace linkage to avoid these kinds of problems.

And, BTW, it's a fairly common failure mode for things on OS X that nobody has really yet figured out.

Sorry, I have basically no experience with OS X's little un-unixisms. I would argue that this is either a bug in darwinports and/or OS X's approach to trying to be different yet the same as Unix, but I don't even run KDE on my Linux.

If this is a common failure mode for things on OS X, isn't their a common solution?
