Here's another offering that might be considered among the fewer-frills
category

gnu plotutils -- including small cli programs graph and plot, although
libplot is in the 1.5 MB range (and then there's various other libs
including the X stuff, too).

Bottom line conclusion is that it's probably gonna need (at least)
several megabytes to produce image files _or_ drive graphic displays.

Any advance (in the small direction) on that guess?
