I don't know about that. At one time they were making a big thing about the underlying engine being adaptable to any script-like syntax on top if it. Haven't heard much about that lately, either. But I haven't been trying to follow those developments, either. One interesting point I remember from Damien Conway's talk is that they have 100K test cases that they use to "define" perl 6.
