People say that about many problems in computers. Unfortunately, it's
only true if you only ever work on code you yourself wrote while being
disciplined.
When someone hands you a 7000-line PHP script that's all at the top
level, using and reusing global variables for temps that have different
meanings in different places, and says "here, fix this", the "one can
avoid that with discipline" goes right out the window.
I'll stick with languages that make it easier to do things right than
wrong. :-)
