Problem: The Username and password combination has been forgotten or lost.
Requested solutions: How do I obtain the username and password or
do away with the updated Fedora Core 2
partition,
so that I can reload Fedora Core 3 (from Linux
User & Developer
magazine) and give it a new username and
password combinatin?
Other information: The Compact laptop (AMD 64 - bit architecture) came
preloaded with
MS XP Home edition
I think the computer recognizes the computer
host name as ITPro1998.
In a Red Hat 7.2 Bible, have found the nos. 82
(linux swap) and 83
(linux ext3) and info about cFDISK and a D
(delete) key. Will it work?
I have the Fedora Core 2 CDs as well as the
Fedora Core 3 CD from the
magazine.
