What is the name of the executable file for "Evolution" mail client and
where is it stored?

----------

I am doing a rsync (thanks to Neil and Carl) from one HDD to a second
HDD.

All other parts of the backup work well ... email, address list, mail
boxes, etc etc.

The only thing that does not work is the "Tools, Settings, Evolution
Settings" ... all the Account names must be entered.

When I right click on the Evolution icon (the stamp over the envelope) I
get the "Launcher Properties" with the following data:
Name: Evolution Email
Command: evolution
Type: Application

When I click on the red hat and go to the "Internet" icon, I see the
(the stamp over the envelope) icon and the text to the right: "Evolution
Email". This appears to be the same as the one above.

When I click on either icon (above) it launches "Evolution" no problem.

So where is the executable?

I ran the "which" command see below:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# which evolution
/usr/bin/evolution

[EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# cd /usr/bin/
[EMAIL PROTECTED] bin]# ll evol*
lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root     13 Feb 14  2004 evolution -> evolution-1.4
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 455836 Oct 28 2003 evolution-1.4
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 26116 Oct 28 2003 evolution-addressbook-export

I run the "evolution" command as shown below:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] /]# cd /usr/bin
[EMAIL PROTECTED] bin]# ./evolution

The splash screen appears and is replaced by:

 "Evolution Setup Assistant"

 with the following message:

Welcome to Evolution. The next few screens will allow Evolution to
connect to your email account, and to import files from other
applications.

This appears to be the "setup" program for "Evolution". I am looking for
the name of the program (executable) for "Evolution"

Any ideas.

Thanks,

Jim
