Del 1700/1710 linux printers

Anyone have any experience with either the Dell 1700 or 1710 printers? 
Best difference I can see is no _listed_ Linux support for the 1700, and 
slower processor for the 1700.  for $50 more, the 1710 has almost double 
the speed processor, and lists linux as supported.
