Hi Jim-- It has been awhile since I used Suse--it was 10.0, so things may be different--but in answer to your question: how does one determine which repository to use for a particular > > package Generally you don't. Some have web pages where you can look things up. What you want to do is add as many repositories as you can for your system--some are not for PCs etc. Then when you want something you just go to YaST and do a search for what you want and it will find it for you if it is there. Remember to update after you add the repositories.
