Hi, in my ongoing effort to get ubuntu 6.10 and Fedora 6 set up correctly, I have installed Firestarter via http://getautomatix.com .
There is an installation wizard that makes setting up Firestarter very simple ... in principle. However, depending on context, I use both eth0 (wired ethernet) and eth1 (wireless) connections. How do I deal with that case? No firewall, because that would restrict me to one connection?? Firewall only for the more critical (i.e., wireless eth1) connection, no firewall for wired eth0??? Two different firewall settings for eth0 and eth1???? Advice from someone for whom this is just a "Firestarter - check" by now can probably keep me out of a lot of trouble and would therefore be greatly appreciated.
