Note to other Ubuntu 8.04 wireless users.

I upgraded to 8.04 from 7.10 a few weeks ago while 8.04 was still in beta on
an HP 4700 series. I am having a similar problem on wireless. Previously, on
bootup in 7.10, my embedded Intel Pro wireless card was ignored and a D-Link
DWL-650 Wireless Cardbus Adapter, 802.11b, 11Mbps was discovered, and only
one wireless device was available to select in the wireless set up. Now on
bootup in 8.04, the embedded wireless card is discovered simultaneously with
the D-Link DWL-650 and neither work. I have to manually de-select the Intel
card and select the D-Link. In 7.10, I was able to connect wirelessly in
about 10 seconds, now it takes between 60 - 90 seconds. It works, but it
takes a little tweaking to select the correct device for the system and
initiate to wireless seek and find process. My best guess for this problem
is that 8.04 has a driver for the embedded card, although it does not work.
My trusty D-Link DWL-650 is still my best (and only) device for wireless
connectivity.
