question is: When I cold boot Ubuntu in AM, frequently I have trouble bringing up
Yahoo. I try again by doing a warm reboot several more times, but the wheel spins,
the AT&T modem activity light does not flash and nada. I then reboot letting
(explitive deleted) load and I get Yahoo with no problem as the modem activity
light twinkles away merrily. So, there's nothing wrong with the internet
connection, right?
So, once again I reboot but select U-8.04, and after starting Firefox, Yahoo
pops right up! So, does anyone have any idea why the problem connecting to
Yahoo under Ubuntu 8.04 at first?
Does this mean that the modem doesn't work if Ubuntu -8.04 was the last
OS running, but does work if Windows was the last OS running? What are
the modem parameters in the cases when Yahoo runs and doesn't run?
Cheers,
