Thanks, Jonathan. Last time at UCSD, however, the wall jack was unconnected. Wireless abounded, but we have no way to go from a wireless connection _to_ cabled.
Any suggestions?
Sure we do. A laptop with a wireless card and a wired jack could easily act as a router. Maybe even a Linksys WRT54G could be reprogrammed, but I'm not sure if it can be made to act like a card instead of an access point. That needs more investigation. Maybe Gregory knows?

Not to discount this, Gus, but we've spent many times at installfests way in the past trying to get internet access to work. I'd much prefer it was a known good/working config (like pandora is/was for dhcp, nat, etc.) before arriving at UCSD.
But apparently Carl has just the device we need, and I'm assuming he's volunteering it for the installfest.
