I think that "Bridge Mode" is documented for the WAP-11. I have not

So, my testing this morning has left me thoroughly unimpressed with the WAP-11.

All configuration (if you want to be sure that the configuration is actually working) must be done with a Windows client via USB. The firmware purports to support:

* Access Point mode (be a, well, access point)

* Access Point Client (be a wireless client, associate with an AP, and anything plugged into the ethernet port is now wirelessly linked up to the AP)

* Wireless Bridge, point-to-point

* Wireless Bridge, point-to-multipoint

The documentation states that in either of the Wireless Bridge modes, the WAP-11 will only connect to another Wireless Bridge mode WAP-11. Damned useless, that.

for the life of me, though, I couldn't configure the WAP-11 in Access Point Client mode and actually get it to work.

It works just fine as a normal WAP, though.

I'd have to concur with Carl, here, and say that what we want can probably be done with a re-flashed WRT54g.
