Rich Ernst gave me Pandora to make sure it got to the meeting and Installfest, and he mentioned that it was having some problems. I checked it out and it needed some repairs. The power supply was failing, so I replaced it with an Antec model that I had. The fan on the CPU was also failing so I replaced that as well. While I was at it, I replaced the network cards with 10/100 models instead of the 10mbps 3c509 ISA models, and moved the drives around a little to improve ventilation, plus added a few more screws (some were missing) to hold everything together. I also had to replace the battery, it was putting out 0.96V instead of 3.0V. I ran memtest86 on it for 10 hours, and the memory checked out OK. I still need to burn a couple CDROMs to test that part, but at least I didn't kill it with the changes :)
