Hello,
We are coming to the last meeting of this season. I would like to have a
meeting of all those folks interested in continuing the organization, before
the regular meeting at 1730 next door in Suite D-201.
We need volunteers to help out in many ways. We also need to decide on the
impetus for next year. And most importantly whether we are still relevant!
One interesting point of Open-Standards and Open-Source Software is that
once it is fully accepted it no longer has as great an interest. Consider
the example I used last month WRT to television. The standards where adopted
almost 70 years ago, so folks planning a video presentation, don't need to
attend an application of 'Standards' meeting. Has Open-Standards in software
gained such wide acceptance that we are no longer of interest to folks
planning there next project, or product?
I think we are all interested in your comments. I have sent this out to both
mailing lists to make sure I contacted everyone; please only reply to the
general list: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Thank you,
Richard
