The other spec might have been contrast ratio (2000:1 seems braggable). 1800 Lm seems a bit low compared to other ads for native 1024x768 projectors. 2000 seems more common. But so does somewhat higher prices maybe 850-900 might be typical. I don't have my Frys ad anymore, but their website (outpost.com shows a viewsonic PJ458D DLP at $650 (after $50 rebate) http://shop1.outpost.com/product/4764649?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG and a Sharp XR-10X at $850 http://shop1.outpost.com/product/4551227?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG Both of these claim 2000 Lm, native 1024x768, 2000:1 contrast, and show roughly similar features. A quick sample shows lamps have a 2000+hour MTBF and cost $200-300. I vote for _not_ getting a spare bulb. Both of the above come with remotes controls. I suppose that another area where different models distinguish themselves. My thought is we should just get one. Even up to $1000, say -- but some hair-pulling would be justified for finding a good deal. ..other inputs?
