Seems offline now, maybe someone's working on it?
Oh-wait, it's back, but longish ping times.
Ahhh, 'ping -n' works much better but still (too much) jumping around.
Maybe that's a clue?
It's been sluggish for the last couple days due to heavy Plone
utilization. This is due to apparently increased traffic on our site
(spammers banging on it again?), and the limited amount of memory
assigned to the virtual machine where Plone is running... still the
original system image from the old server.
We have tons of capacity on that server, but to utilize it requires
moving Plone to its own new virtual machine. I've gotten as far as
creating the virtual machine, but moving Plone there has not yet been
accomplished. That sits squarely on my plate, and has been there for
a couple months. I'm in the process of moving my entire rack of colo
servers to a larger alternate cabinet, and once sparKPLUG is in its
new home I will finish the move.
From there, our local Plone and website maintainers (Jim, Neil, Judy,
others?) can take over. Perhaps this is an area where Christoph can
also be of assistance?
