Everything past here didn't need to be quoted at all, as it needlessly
takes up space, which is time to someone reading your post. Wasting
your reader's time  to preserve one's own laziness quite effectively
demonstrates disdain for your readers.

Past here is where the mailing list software appended the mailing-list
signature block, so quoting it (as you did above) just adds more of
the same text again, as below:

It's all just a visual distraction at best, and a sign of contempt
at worst.
