Hi Doran,
     Here is my advice, worth what you paid for it.  :-)

1) Take it back to the store and ask if there is anyone that can help 
you with it.  Double check with the sales person to make sure that the 
tablet you purchased actually has a GPS in it.  Some don't.

2) If it does have a GPS, make sure it is turned on.  If the sales 
person can't help you, try this:

Go to Settings.
Select Location.
Select Mode.
Select High Accuracy.

3) If it does NOT have a GPS, return it, and then go to Amazon.com and 
buy a Google Nexus 7 2013 model.  This definitely has a GPS and it works 
very well with Avare.
