Even though Apple irritates the heck out of me, I have an iPad 3 with Foreflight and Xavion that works really well as long as my BadElf WAAS receiver is plugged in. Total cost... about $500 for the tablet and software. Foreflight is about $180/yr and X-avion was a one shot (same company that does X-Plane). Might be more money, but a lot less aggravation.

I think they have a 30 day free trial. They charge $69 a year for a subscription and their software gives you everything you'll ever need, anywhere in the USA, moving sectional map, airport diagrams, obstacle clearance, unlimited updates, etc., etc., . http://www.iflygps.com/ Larry Flesner _______________________________________________ Search the KRnet Archives at http://tugantek.com/archmailv2-kr/search.
