I was rummaging around the basement last night looking for the perfect piece of angle to mount my belly board to, and ran across an old piece of space hardware that I found at a local recycling center. I started measuring it, and turns out to be the exact height of a KR spar! Although it's a quarter inch thick and weighs 7.4 pounds, my belly board certainly will be mounted well! It's a little short length-wise, but I'll just put a heavier hinge between it and the board and support it mostly in the middle. I'm honored to have such a fine piece of space hardware on my KR.
