I knew Bob quite well as we spent time together at the gatherings, travelled to several together, met on a few occasions, and kept in touch since the first time we met at the gathering. We had exchanged email only a few weeks before we got the sad news. Bob kept his pain and suffering to himself and the only blessing in this is that he will not have to suffer any more. I will miss him.
