Yes you do need to register with yahoo but you don't need to ever use the yahoo email address. I am registered on about 10 yahoo email lists with my own normal address and they all send emails to me the same as krnet does. It can be set up to send plain text with no attachments allowed etc. And the list controller has full control over all the settings.
