 From what I understand insurance on a private airplane is not required 
by anyone, just a good idea.  Am I correct on this?  Are there any 
airports that require you to have insurance to land there or to be based 
there?  I got an application for a tiedown space last week and all they 
wanted to know is if I had insurance on my car before they gave me a 
ramp pass.
