My airport (Corvallis, OR) requires 1 million dollars worth of liability if you want to rent a city hangar. However they didn't require any proof of this insurance.
I am renting from a private hangar at the field, and although I currently don't have my liability policy current, if I hosed up and hit somthing with my KR, I expect that the fine print on my landlords lease agreement for the land on the city says that his tenants shall maintain the same coverage... so I would be hose-d. Not in motion coverage for my KR (valued at 15K) was 800/yr a few years back. (When I decided not to renew as I had left the airport environment). -- Ross ----- Original Message ----- From: "Colin" <[email protected]> List-Post: [email protected] Date: Mon, 11 Aug 2003 22:59:02 -0400 To: "KR builders and pilots" <[email protected]> Subject: KR>Insurance > Brian, > It is my information that insurance is only required when there is a loan on > the aircraft, required by the loan company to protect their interest.
