Ron, I put that comment in there on purpose.  In a section I did not 
present, the FAA turned down a recommendation of the Aviation Rule Making 
Committee.  The ARMC recommended a sport pilot self-certification form for 
those applying, who did not have a third class medical but did possess a 
state drivers license.  The FAA's ruled against it so as not to add another 
level of bureaucracy into the process.......imagine that.  Their rational 
was most states require a driver to sign some kind of statement addressing 
physical competence.  Kentucky has no such document, I don't know if your 
state requires such.

Like I said, I truly know enough about this to be dangerous.  I just threw 
this stuff out there as I knew a lot of listers were interested.
