Hello Net Glad to hear that all the flyers made it home safe. I too had a great time. I especially enjoyed putting faces to all the names on the net. Also thanks for all the encouraging words about the posts that I have been making. By the time you flyers were leaving MVN, I was home in MI. After a couple of days rest I went and talked to Tweety (N110LR) and asked why we didn't fly-in. I was told that It was all my fault, and that Tweety could have made it if I had wanted to. I told Tweety that the engine did not sound just right and Tweety said I just could not hear it's new deep roar because of that noisy wobbly IVO prop, and that Tweety was glad to be rid of it. Well, how's that for an explanation. I listened to the engine with a home made scope and could only hear slightly noisy intake valves on cylinders 1 and 2. There was no other noises. My exhaust used to be on both sides and is now, because of the turbo, located on the passenger side, and makes it sound like that side is coming apart. I did address cooling issues one more time and discovered that my cht sender was allowing gas to leak from the spark plug hole and heat things up at the number one plug. I removed and relocated the sender to one of the head bolts. I added a baffle to the oil cooler and will test fly Tweety tomorrow. During a ground run today, the old Sturba ran 3300 and 35 mp. I'm sure that once I start rolling those numbers will increase. Orma Southfield, MI N110LR celebrating 20 years Flying, flying and more flying
