Yes, My understanding is that the facet pump is a diaphram type positive displacement pump, which will pump air (or fuel vapor) as well as liquid, which a centrifugal pump will not do(as it relies on the 'weight' of the liquid to move it). So vapor in the line will not stop the a facet pump working.
